David W. Edmonds Jr. provides skilled project and executive management support for business-critical operations for Southland Gaming of the Virgin Islands, Inc. (SGVI), as well as currently serves as the Executive Assistant to Robert E. “Bobby” Huckabee, President and CEO of SGVI. His primary role in the organization is to help realize the company’s vision for advancing the world community through SGVI, quality real estate initiatives, and development of alternative energy solutions. David is recognized for his ability to “get things done,” working tirelessly to meet the needs of the company, clients, and strategic partners.

With experience in a variety of areas, David brings diverse work history in nonprofit, retail, service and entertainment, finance, real estate, and alternative energy to his current role. At a young age, he has rapidly advanced through business—now focusing his efforts on the value-added options offered through the Alternative Energy Industry. From thriving economies to third-world nations, David provides leadership that will enable SGVI to expand its reach to impact the livelihood and financial stability for residents and tourists alike. Through innovation and due diligence, David supports the altruistic efforts of SGVI.

Since 2008, David has grown in the Gaming Industry, and he is now taking a more active role in SGVI’s operations. Prior to joining the company, David was Co-owner, Broker, Consultant, and Project Manager for Cape Fear Land Development Group, Inc. and Cape Fear Land Consultants, LLC, which are no longer in operation. He uses his expansive knowledge of real estate to identify and manage lucrative investment opportunities for SGVI, as well as Mr. Huckabee’s personal real estate ventures.

On a fast-track to success, David excelled as Area Sales Manager for Best Buy Co., Inc., working with the company from 2002 to 2005. He was a key contributor to many significant areas, including implementation of The Geek Squad. He developed his leadership skills administering $20+ million in assets while directly managing 40 employees and indirectly overseeing a team of 120. Prior to Best Buy, he served in a variety of customer-focused areas.

David graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentration in Finance. He holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s License. In his limited free time, David enjoys various sporting activities, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. In addition, he devotes a significant amount of personal time to UTUC Promotions, LLC, located in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. He co-founded this charitable organization to raise funds for highly deserving causes, such as The Salvation Army, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and many others. He believes that “selfless giving receives genuine thanks.”
