Attn: Southland Gaming of the Virgin Islands, INC.

On behalf of the management and staff of the Virgin Islands Police Department, I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to Southland Gaming of the Virgin Islands, Inc. for its generous charitable contribution of $2,500 toward the Police Retirement Ball. The cost of putting on a splendid evening for our deserving retirees would not be possible without your unwaivering support.

I am convince that my staff and I are much better prepared to manage the task of improving police services throughout the Virgin Islands because of public support, and outstanding private citizens and corporate entities like you. Again, thank you for your much needed donation.

Sincerely,
Elton Lewis
Police Commissioner

Robert E. "Bobby" Huckabee,

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for Southland Gaming's generous donation of $5000 for sponsorship of the Senior Citizens Reviewing Stand for both the Children's and Adult's Parades.

As I have said before, it is only through public-private partnerships that we can truly improve the Virgin Islands. This charitable contribution is a testament to your company's commitment to this effort. I am truly happy that we were able to work together of this endeavor as most in attendance remarked that it was truly enjoyed by all.

Again, on behalf of the Office of the Governor, I would like to convey our sincere appreciation for your sponsorship. If there is anyway my office can be of assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,
Barbara Petersen
Administrator-St. Thomas/Water Island

Shaine Gaspard,

I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation at your generosity as the St. Thomas - St. John District Office of the Insular Superintendent prepared to honor our 2008 District Teacher of the Year and the four finalists on December 9, 2007, at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort.

First, let me apologize for this letter getting to you so late. When I wrote to you in October and November 2007, requesting a donation for the 2008 Teacher of the Year dinner, I served in the capacity of Insular Superintendent of Schools for the St. Thomas - St. John District. Since holding the function, I have been reassigned to the school level and in the transition, this type of communication was reprioritized. I, however, would be remiss, if I did not thank you for your generosity and support as the St. Thomas - St. John District honored Mrs. Kimberly Sierro, 2008 Teacher of the Year (Joseph Sibilly Elementary School) and the four finalists: Mr. Clayton Emmanuel (Music Teacher, E. Benjamin Oliver), Mrs. Virginia Olive (Reading Teacher, Leonard Dober Elementary), Idalia Dockery (Foreign Language Teacher, Charlotte Amalie High School) and Naomi Toussaint Williams (Music Teacher, Gladys Abraham Elementary).

I recognize that economically, these have become very challenging times for a business such as yours. Therefore, I wanted not only to say thank you in a letter, but also provide this plaque as a token of my appreciation for your support. I am most proud to say that it was made at the St. Thomas - St. John District Office/Cirriculum Center by the production staff and serves as a memento of my appreciation. You must be commended for your interest and concern for our schools, students and staff! I recognize that cooperative efforts such as you have made in contributing to the 2008 Teacher of the Year Dinner are especially valuable as they partner central staff, school personnel, community organizations and business people together for a common purpose: providing a quality educational experience for the students of the Virgin Islands!

Again, I thank you for your support and generosity and recognize that the structure you have built with that cooperation is very impressive. I look forward to partnering with you in the future as we make education a positive experience for our students.

Sincerely,
Lisa A. Hassell-Forde
Acting Principal

Shaine Gaspard,

The Governor and I were pleased to host in recognition of Senior Citizens Month a series of special luncheons honoring Senior Citizens during the month of May. Your personal assistance in helping facilitate the success of these events is very much appreciated, and I thank you for your efforts in helping us celebrate so distinctly with all the standard bearers in our community.

I look forward to hosting similar celebrations honoring Senior Citizens again next May, and hope that we can count on your support and assistance for those important activities. Once again, thank you for your diligent efforts. It was truly a wonderful celebration of food, family and community.

Sincerely,
Cecile de Jongh

Leonard Dober Elementary School

Shaine Gaspard,

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of the Leonard Dober Elementary School, allow me to express sincere thanks to you and your staff for sponsoring the sumptuous luncheon that was provided for us. It certainly helped to boost morale and set a positive tone for the faculty meeting and workshop that followed.

As verbally expressed to you, we certainly appreciate the involvement of your company in the Department of Education. Your donations to the schools have done a lot in terms of what we have been able to do relative to the needs of the students and the improvment of the physical plant. I am happy that I was able to show and explain to you some of the things we have been able to accomplish with your montetary donations. Please accept our deep gratitude.

Kindly pass on our thanks to your Marketing Director, Mr. Marcus Monrose, for all he does. He certainly made sure all was in place for a lovely luncheon.

I have recently learned that we also have a parent working at your business and I am certain that she pushed to make sure we received your kindness. To her, too, we are grateful.

Please feel free to stop by at any time to interact with our students and staff members. We would be happy to be accommodating.

Sincerely,
Carla Sarauw
Principal
